David Gwinnutt
Where some photographers use lavish sets, teams of stylists and intricate lighting to achieve their results Gwinnutt works only with a hand held camera and available natural light. Working in this way allows for a spontaneity and directness. His pictures are never ‘set up’ and there’s a rawness in them which suggests real time. His subjects are often photographed in an intimate, private setting, allowing us to feel we are observing unguarded moments and seeing the ‘real’ person. |
