Faile which is pronounced as in 'not succeed' are a trio made from artists from Canada, America and Japan, but are based in Brooklyn, New York most of the time. Faile is an anagram of 'a life', which was their original name before they realised a shop had already bagged that one. They are widely recognised as ground-breaking in the street art world.

Initially wheatpasting their work on the streets of New York, they now employ an array of media, including silkscreen, sculpture and canvas.

They heavily concentrate on the concepts of collaboration and dualism using themes such as Love/Hate, Peace/War and Violence/Beauty.

Much of Faile's work harks to bygone pulp fiction and comic book imagery, and cites pop art pioneers Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein as influences. A Faile piece is instantly recognisable and they often have a running theme or use the same characters throughout their work.
